Case Study: Landfill Biogass Oxidizer Solutions

Landfill gas (LFG) is a natural byproduct of the decomposition of organic material in landfills.  LFG is composed of approximately 50 percent methane (CH4), 50 percent carbon dioxide (CO2) and small amounts of non-methane organic compounds (NMOCs).  NMOCs include reactive volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs).

Landfill RNG VOC Waste Gas Abatement

Controlling VOC emissions from a landfill renewable natural gas (RNG) purification upgrade system can be achieved with a direct fired thermal oxidizer (DFTO).  The QUADRANT-NRV Series Thermal Oxidation System is designed for use with the low-volume/high-BTU waste gas stream emitted from many landfill renewable natural gas purification processes. As we utilize our Venturi Burner Package to process the waste gas directly through the burner, we are able to reduce the size, and thus cost, of the oxidation system.
