Bakery Installs CatOx for Bread Oven VOC Control

Catalytic Products International (CPI) was selected by a large producer of bakery foods to install a Catalytic Oxidizer (CatOx) at a Midwest USA bakery for the abatement of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from a single bread line oven. The primary source of emissions at a commercial bakery is the tunnel oven, which releases carbon dioxide and VOCs such as ethanol produced during the yeast fermentation process.

Catalytic Products International (CPI) installed a 10,000 SCFM Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer RTO for a renewable natural gas (RNG) developer who constructed a landfill gas upgrading facility to convert municipal solid waste landfill gas into pipeline‑quality renewable natural gas. The facility uses membrane separation, adsorption, and nitrogen rejection technologies to meet pipeline specifications for methane content and heating value.
